Masterbatches MB Series

NYSA Chem distributes Masterbatches FR, which meet the requirement of fire safety for plastic Industry. Masterbatches are characterized by high content of flame retardant agents in selected polymer matrix (50 – 90 % by weight). Their advantage is possibility for adding into plastics on each step of the manufacturing process (compounding of virgin plastics and recycling grafes, production of finished elements, etc.) without adding any additional powders.

FlameHunter
MB 1420

Halogen-free flame retardant based on phosphorus and nitrogen, which gives intumescent properties in product - char formation on the material surface in case of fire. It is used especially in polyolefins PP i PE and thermoplastics. It is characterized by high effectivness of flame retardancy, low tendention to precipitate, good thermal, water and light resistance,  low emission of smokes. Product is also non-toxic. It also does not cause corrosion to injection molds and problems common to other flame retardants. Polyolefins modified with MB1420 achieve flammability class UL94-VO and UL746C, GWIT 900 °C, GWFI 960 °C.  Appearance: White granules.

APPLICATION - flammability reduction in:
  • Special PP composites, which can replace PC/ABS blends in automotive (plastic engine components)
  • Polyolefins PP and PE
  • Special PP composites (modified with fiber glass with higher fire and moisture resistance)

FlameHunter
MB 100

Product similar in structure to FlameHunter MB1420, but is used also in TPV systems (dynamically cross-linked mixtures, usually of composition PP/EPDM). Product contains 75% by weight flame retardant compounds (matrices PE/PP). Product designed to achieve flammability class UL94-V0 for PP and PE.  Appearance: White granules.

APPLICATION - flammability reduction in:
  • Special PP composites, which can replace PC/ABS blends in automotive (plastic engine components)
  • Polyolefins PP and PE
  • Special PP composites (modified with fiber glass with higher fire and moisture resistance)
